Services Module

The GalTeC Service Module is responsible for combining information from those modules responsible for Measurement, Simulation, Reference Orbit and Time Determination and Analysis. This essential information is presented to the User via a Web Server.

The main objective of the service module is to present the results as a single point of access. These data are presented graphically and textually and represent the underlying data gathered from various applications and sources. This concept ensures easy access to all results of GalTeC, without the need for special End-User knowledge.

Furthermore, it is very important to provide pre-defined products showing the key performance parameters that are of main interest in a simple and coherent way, that can easily be interpreted by the Users. Currently data available for GPS, GLONASS and EGNOS is analysed. The addition of Galileo data will be included as soon as these data becomes available. The main task is to provide the key performance parameters in concise form as it is presented by the Analysis Module. In addition standardised supplementary products such as SP3 and RINEX data files are provided in order to permit independent verification.

The Data Products and Reports can be characterised by the following attributes :

  • Daily Data and Analysis
  • Data Rates (1-second/1-minute)
  • Actuality (Previous Day, 2-Weeks)
  • Data and File Formats (RINEX, SP3, XML, HTML, TXT, PDF, PNG/JPG)
  • Access (Public, Restricted, Individual – depending on the registration level of the user)
  • Product provision (Download, E-mail, FTP, HTTP)
  • Product (Routine, Alarm, Special)

The following basic products are to be provided for the time periods and areas related to the individual stations as selected by the user:

  • Protection Levels for Stations as well as for selected Area (Simulation module)
  • Real Protection Levels for individual Stations (presented in the time domain or by histograms)
  • Ranging Errors for GalTeC sites or individual external Monitoring Stations
  • Position Error for GalTeC sites or that of individual Stations
  • Precise Orbits (SP3) based on self generated calculations and (partly) self generated measurements
  • Satellite Orbit and Clock Errors in different formats (over time and statistics, e.g. SISA vs. SISRA etc.)
  • Various supplementary data like
    • Receiver raw data in Receiver native or RINEX format, Receiver computed data, GNSS SIS messages
    • GalTeC Station Data
    • Collection of NANU, Bulletins etc.

The compilation of the individual tables, plots and summaries has been developed in the development phase and also its structuring and representation in the externally accessible representation. The reports are provided to the User in textual form as presentation on screen.

The presentation of results via the Internet is provided by an intuitive, easy to understand and use Graphical User Interface. This GalTeC interface enables the user to browse the immense amount of information in a structured and common way.

To achieve this objective, the design has been developed following approved and standardized methologies of current interface design for web applications.
