GalTeC - Galileo Technology Center

GalTeC is a development project under contract with the German Aerospace Center DLR, funded by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology (BMWi). The project started in December 2005 and concluded in December 2008.

Under leadership of Thales ATM GmbH the work in the GalTeC program has been performed in cooperation with NavPos Systems GmbH.

The application concept of GalTeC is to provide value added services related to the provision of GNSS satellite-only services. It provides services linked to GPS, GLONASS, EGNOS and Giove. The services comprise offline functional and performance analysis of the systems. GalTeC in addition offers prediction capability for service level and service volume assessment.

Targeted users of GalTeC are those interested parties that require an independent and long term evaluation of GNSS historical performance or realistic evaluation of future GNSS performance of the GNSS while providing the ability of additional monitoring of raw data records.
